Dean of Studies and College Guidance Sam Moss reminds all seniors of Darlington’s deadlines for college applications and accompanying materials. Meeting these deadlines will help ensure a smoother flow of the paperwork from his office to the colleges, help seniors spread out their paperwork load, and gain for many seniors acceptances earlier in the year. Three specific, upcoming deadlines are:
October 6 – All Early Decision college applications due, including Early Action and Early Notification programs. Any student applying Early Decision should meet with Mr. Moss as soon as possible to discuss this commitment.
October 6 – All Part I applications due for all colleges with a two-part application (Vanderbilt, Duke, UVA, William & Mary, Davidson, Washington & Lee University, Ivy League colleges, etc.). Many of these colleges will not even send Part II (essays and recommendations) until Part I is received.
October 27– All applications with a December deadline due.
