The Georgia Southern Chorale performed a concert in Morris Chapel on Feb. 16 during sixth period. The chorale is the top-touring ensemble in the Vocal/Choral Area at Georgia Southern University. Under the direction of Dr. Rodney Caldwell, the chorale appears in approximately 20 concerts per year, including international touring every third year.
Caldwell received The University of Arizona Creative Achievement Award in 1994 and has been twice nominated for awards as an outstanding educator. “We are fortunate to be able to host outstanding music groups like the Georgia Southern Chorale and to give interested students the opportunity to experience a conductor such as Caldwell,” Dan Bishop, chair of Darlington’s fine arts department and choral director, said.
