College-bound Darlington School seniors earn scholarships

Seven Darlington students have recently been awarded scholarships:
· Meggie Beth Erwin has been named a University Scholar by Mercer University, Macon, Ga. She will receive an annual award of $7,500 for a total of $30,000 over four years.
· Sarah Mooney has been awarded a Southeastern or Dillard Elliott Scholarship Package for one-third of tuition per year by Presbyterian College, Clinton, S.C. She will receive an annual award of $6,120 for a total award of $24,480 over four years. Mooney has also been named a University Scholar by Mercer University, Macon, Ga. She will receive an annual award of $7,500 for a total award of $30,000 over four years.
· Griffin Duncan has been awarded a Southeastern or Dillard Elliott Scholarship Package for one-third of tuition per year. He will receive an annual award of $6,120 for a total award of $24,480 over four years.
· Mary Kathryn Harrison has been awarded a John I. Smith Scholarship Package for two-third tuition per year by Presbyterian College, Clinton, S.C. She will receive an annual award of $12,240 for a total award of $48,960 over four years.
· Lauren Tharp has been awarded an annual reward of $7,500 for a total award of $30,000 over four years by Lees-McRae College, Banner Elk, N.C.
· Russell Evans has been named a Josiah Penfield Scholar by Mercer University, Macon, Ga. He will receive an annual award of $12,000 for a total award of $48,000 over four years. He has also been awarded a personal notebook computer equipped with the latest software and hardware.
· Paul Kountz has been named a Josiah Penfield Scholar by Mercer University, Macon, Ga. He will receive an annual award of $12,000 for a total award of $48,000 over four years. He has also been awarded a personal notebook computer equipped with the latest software and hardware.
· Scott Poley has been named a Jesse Mercer Scholar by Mercer University, Macon, Ga. He will receive and annual award of $13,000 for a total award of $65,000 over four years. He has also been awarded a personal notebook computer equipped with the latest software and hardware.
