Darlington received spectacular coverage on Cable News Network Thursday, April 8, through the influence of Jennifer Wysocki '90, a CNN producer. CNN’s Headline News and World Today featured one of Steve Killian’s government/economics classes discussing the war in Kosovo.

When Wysocki and her camera crew arrived on campus, they had hoped to gauge student opinion on Kosovo in order to represent the voice of high school students of America. What they found when they arrived on campus Tuesday, April 6, was more than that.

That day Killian’s class, which studies current events throughout the year, was being taught not by Killian but by senior Todd Lindsey, who spoke with eloquence about the historical causes of the Kosovo conflict. Other students interrupted from time to time with questions, which Todd answered effortlessly. CNN filmed it all.

The Darlington segment went on the air at 8:55 p.m. April 8 on CNN’s World Today as a “kicker” for Larry King Live at 9 p.m. It then ran several more times that night on World Today and Headline News.
