Clements named August Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Caroline Clements the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for August. She is an "A" student who has taken seven Honors and six AP classes during her high school career. The head day prefect in Thornwood House, she is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club and the Jabberwokk yearbook staff. She is also a four-year member of the varsity lacrosse team, and was named Most Valuable Offensive Player last spring. Outside of Darlington, she is an intern at Earthworks Pottery and a graduate of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce’s High School Leadership Rome program. The daughter of Alice and Frank Clements of Rome, Caroline was honored at a luncheon on Aug. 31.
