Chorus Traveling to Competition

The Middle School Chorus will be attending the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tenn., Friday and Saturday, May 12 - 13. The group has been working since January to prepare the required musical selections from the following categories: classical, folksong, musical theater, spiritual, and pop. Last year, during their first appearance at the nationally recognized festival, the Middle School Chorus received a superior rating.
Since the festival’s inception in 1983, over 1600 groups have appeared in the competition. Director Dan Bishop encourages parents of seventh- and eighth-grade chorus members to consider chaperoning the trip. If interested, contact Bishop at 706-236-0457 as soon as possible.
