Chandra named August Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Anisha Chandra the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for August.
A Darlington student since the first grade, Chandra has a GPA of 101 with 22 Honors and AP credits. She has been recognized for her academic achievement through membership in the National Honor Society, Cum Laude Society, Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and by being named an AP Scholar. She has also written for The Darlingtonian and participated in the House Senate, Honor Council, Science Club, Spanish Club, Concert Choir, Ladies' Chorale and volleyball. Outside of school, she volunteers with the Boys & Girls Club and Hamilton Medical Center Hospital.
The daughter of Shoby and Chris Chandra of Dalton, Anisha Chandra was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on August 25.
