Brooks named February Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Kendall Brooks the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for February.
Brooks has a GPA of 95.73 with nine Honors and six AP credits. While at Darlington, she has earned the Parents’ Association Student Award, the Junior Scholar Award for Academic Achievement and Leadership, an AP Scholar designation, and has been inducted into the Sociedad Honoraria Nacional de El Coronel, National Honor Society, Cum Laude Society, Gamma Chi Epsilon and Mu Alpha Theta. She has also been involved in Ladies’ Chorale, Spanish Club, Field and Stream Club, Young Republicans, S.O.A.R. and the Discipline Committee (current president).
Outside of Darlington, Brooks has participated in the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine, High School Leadership Rome, and is an active member of First Baptist Church of Rome. At church, she has volunteered in the nursery, served on the Youth Council, participated in mission trips and worked in the soup kitchen. She has also volunteered at ESL classes at Sara Hightower Library.
