Darlington’s bridge club faired well in competition at the Ruff N Sluff Bridge Club in Marietta, Ga. Winners in flight C level competition were First North/South: juniors Padrick Dennis and William Krueger; First East/West: freshman Matthew Maffessanti and sophomore Zach Norman; and Second East/West: sophomores Alex Gonzalez and Paul Maxwell. Darlington was represented by three full tables, six pairs, of players out of seven tables in all. “Our players played against people with a lot more experience in the game,” said Tollie Ross, bridge club faculty adviser.
Students interested in learning to play the game are invited to attend sessions every Saturday beginning with refreshments at 10 a.m. and game time at 10:30 a.m. “If you have missed some Saturdays, don't be afraid to come back. You can catch up in a few minutes of play.”said Ross.
