Book Review: 'And the Mountains Echoed' by Khaled Hosseini (adult fiction)

After reading The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, I anxiously awaited his newest book, And the Mountains Echoed.  Hosseini did not disappoint me.  This particular book was like candy for a literary fanatic like me. 

Once again, Hosseini writes of life in Afghanistan through the eyes of a variety of characters whose individual stories overlap in ways that are unexpected for the reader.  Hosseini writes of the struggles and weaknesses of families, but also celebrates the love and sacrifice parents make for their children. 

And the Mountains Echoed is a truly, beautiful novel that I highly recommend for those who love to learn while they read for pleasure.
