A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.

Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.

Let’s get to know Tommy Bethel, a four-year boarding student from Atlanta who plays baseball and football.

When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Friendship, history, accountability

What song reminds you of high school?
“ATLiens” by Outkast

What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“Breaking Bad”

What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Las Palmas

What house are you a member of?
Summerbell

What are you involved in at Darlington?
Three-time head prefect of Summerbell House, baseball, football

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
My favorite coach is Coach Collier. He’s just an all-around great guy and coach. I love being around him and would do anything for him.

What's your favorite place on campus and why?
My dorm room because it is my temple.

Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is Profe Carmen Gonzalez. She is new this year and has been the most fun teacher I've had at Darlington. I'm learning a lot with fun and I couldn't ask for anything better.

What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
I like the community and friendship along with the football field side of campus.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Being able to wake up and walk over to the baseball cages.

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
More mature, better friend, and I think before I speak (at least better than before).

What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be an ESPN anchor or sideline reporter.
