In this #SeniorSpotlight, get to know Andrew Wang, a four-year boarding student from Wuhan, China, who is part of the state-bound DarBots robotics team.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Wisdom, service, honor
What house are you a member of?
Neville House
What are you involved in at Darlington?
The DarBots robotics team and I’ve sponsored many iPeriods, like fixing arcade or intro to programming. Also the Senior Ventures program is a memorable experience.
Who is your favorite coach and why?
Mr. Kinney! He is the best robotics coach.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The lake. I like to take time hiking around it during my spare time.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mrs. Inman, She is the BEST advisor I ever had. She has helped me a lot during the four years I’ve been here. Mr. Eady. He is knowledgeable and very helpful when I study AP Computer Science.
What's your favorite thing about Darlington?
Honor Above Everything!
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Having a group of nice people and friendly community where you do not need to worry about discrimination and bias.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
Be nice to others.
Where do you want to go to college and what is your dream job?
I want to study more about computer science and hopefully have a job related to it.
