Joanna Mundy Displays Martial Arts: Sophomore Joanna Mundy demonstrated martial arts self-defense techniques on the Jennifer Jones television show March 31. Joanna, a martial arts student of Tony Lopez, has helped Lopez teach self-defense to women and police officers.


Junior to Attend Harvard Program: This summer, junior Ken Edwards will participate in the Harvard Secondary School Program at Harvard University June 27 to Aug. 20. Edwards, along with about 1000 other students from around the world, will take two courses from among over 200 offered from Harvard professors and possibly gain up to eight hours of college credit.


Senior to Travel in Tibet: Senior Sara Baldauf-Wagner will spend six weeks in Nepal and Tibet this summer through a program called Where There be Dragons. Sara and 12-14 fellow travelers will arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal, in June, hike across the Tibetan border into the city of Lossa, the holiest place for Buddhism, stay in Buddhist monasteries, and hike to the base camp of Mt. Everest on the Tibetan side of the mountain.
