Baseball: Darlington drops Game 2 of state championship series against Wesleyan

The Tigers ended the season as the state runner-up, a finish eclipsed only by the team's Class AA state title win in 1984.

Darlington lost 6-4 in the first game of the state championship to Wesleyan on Saturday.

“We’ve got a group that battles and has great determination,” said Kent Harrison ('01, LD '15), Darlington's head baseball coach. “In this series, we ran into a tougher opponent and we weren’t able to get the job done, but I was proud to see them continue to fight. We’ve got some great players on this team.”
