Baker named to All-Area Baseball Team

Darlington junior outfielder Brice Baker was named to the Rome News-Tribune All-Area Baseball Team. He was among the best clutch hitters in the area, batting .500 overall. Baker hit .645 with runners in scoring position while trying for the team lead with 24 RBI. He also pitched effectively for the Tigers, going 2-2 with a 1.58 ERA. He is the son of Lorri and Norris Baker of Rome. Honorable mentions were awarded to Evan Brooks, Chase Butler, Garrett Henderson and Ben Jackson.
