Atwell and Sheffield named Students of the Quarter

Eighth-graders Alyson Atwell and Collin Sheffield have been named Students of the Quarter by the Mid-Day Optimist Club. Atwell is an Honor Roll student who excels in art, volleyball and cheerleading. She is the daughter of Dr. Ed and Sandy Atwell of White, Ga. Sheffield, who is new to Darlington this year has jumped into school life through his involvement with football, wrestling and lacrosse. He is the son of Keith Sheffield of Rome. These students were honored during a May 6 luncheon at the Landmark Restaurant. They join previous recipients Terar Stewart and Dillon Weeks as Darlington's four Optimist Club Students of the Quarter for 2008-09.
