Aprelikov to compete in USTA junior tournament

Sophomore Andrey Aprelikov will play in the USTA Georgia State Spring Open Junior Tournament, which takes place in Rome on April 3-5.

All events are free and open to the public.

The Coosa International Tennis Academy (CITA) member will join players from all over Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas in age categories 18 & under.

In Aprelikov's first match of the tournament, he will be joined by a partner in the doubles portion at Alto Park on Friday at 5:45 p.m. If they win, the pair will advance to the next match at 7:15 p.m.

Aprelikov will next meet the courts on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Coosa Country Club.

The Tiger has won several tennis tournaments since joining CITA, including the Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies Jr. Winter Championship, and the Kennesaw Mountain Jr. Championships Boys 18 Singles match.
