Annual Fund giving boosted by Reunion excitement

Reunion Weekend, April 25–27, has alumni excited about seeing old friends and revisiting the campus. Coupled with enthusiasm about the weekend is a desire to support the School through the Annual Fund. Class agents and alumni volunteers have contacted alumni to encourage them to attend reunions and, also, to make gifts to the Annual Fund. Volunteers include Jim Whelan ’58, Kay Cheves ’63T, Harry Johnson ’68, Rick Cromartie ’78, Frank Jones ’88, and Kathryn Hatch Hollingsworth ’93.
The class of 1943 is leading the way in participation. Close behind are the classes of 1968, 1978, and 1983. A class phonathon tremendously helped the class of 1968. Mark Berry, Floyd Farless, Skip Howse, and Harry Johnson were the callers. Rick Cromartie, John Gilliland, Rebekah B. Montgomery, Thornton Morris, Chris Peacock, Bob Smith, and Margaret K. Waggoner made personal calls on behalf of the School and the class of 1978. All volunteers have helped their classes make great strides in Annual Fund participation.
