The following announcement was released Wednesday, Aug. 24, by the Associate Headmaster's Office:

We appreciate your patience while we work through some student drop-off challenges at the McCallie-Kennedy Library. We considered moving the drop-off to the Huffman Building, but feel with cooperation from the students and parents, this will not be necessary.

New procedures for drop-off:

All vehicles enter through UPPER PARKING LOT. This lot will now be restricted to one-way traffic.

School buses will be required to use the UPPER LOOP (closest to the library).

The LOWER LOOP will be for student drop-off from vehicles (with students exiting on the side closest to the library).

We appreciate your abiding by the following: No parking or prolonged stopping permitted in the drop-off zones.

Safety is our primary concern. We feel that if these procedures are followed, students will be safer and the flow of traffic will be more fluid. Please note that beginning Thursday, Aug. 25, there will be two administrators stationed in the drop-off zones to help acquaint drivers with the new procedures. Signage and repainting will occur in the near future.
