All-Region 7-AA teams announced for basketball

Six Tigers have been honored with spots on the Rome News-Tribune's All-Region 7-AA first and second teams in basketball.
In addition to being selected as the Region 7-AA Player of the Year, junior Anna Claire Atha was named to the All-Region 7-AA first team. Per game she averaged 25 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 4.1 steals.
Senior Keara Evans was also honored on the first team. Per game she averaged 12.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.1 blocks.
Junior Kelsey Garrett was named to the All-Region 7-AA second team. She averaged 6.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.
The Lady Tigers ended their season with a 19-10 record.
For the varsity boys, senior Kyle Tackeberry was named to the All-Region 7-AA first team. Per game, he averaged 18 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
Freshman JD Hull also earned first team honors. He averaged 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Junior J.T. Mumber was named to the All-Region 7-AA second team. He averaged 11 points per game, 8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.
Junior Elijah McKoy was chosen as an All-Region honorable mention, with an average of 10 points per game and 6 rebounds, totaling 39 steals.
