Boarding Inquiries Rise
The admission office is having a great year and plans to continue traveling around the southeast promoting Darlington. Admission statistics are rising, with 864 inquiries for our boarding program so far this year, compared to 670 at this point last year. Most inquiries come by word of mouth and from the Internet. Travel and consultants also play a part.

Parents, grandparents, friends, and alumni play an essential role in Darlington's future. Informing co-workers, family, and friends about the benefits of boarding school and the value of a Darlington education is key for continued success. Please share the Darlington experience, and Darlington's website: https://www.darlington.rome.ga.us. Do not hesitate to ask the admission office to send Darlington's literature to anyone.

McCain Scholarship Offered

Since 1983, Darlington has awarded a scholarship to an incoming resident student from the southeastern United States in honor of J. Ross McCain, Darlington's first headmaster. This scholarship is renewable each year and is awarded solely on the basis of merit, without regard to financial need, race, or gender.

The admission office is requesting anyone who knows of an outstanding student who qualifies for the McCain Scholarship to contact an admission officer at 800-36-TIGER, by fax at 706-232-3600, or by e-mail at admission@darlington.rome.ga.us
