Academy players earn awards

Members of Darlington School Soccer Academy and Coosa International Tennis Academy were recognized April 26 during assembly for their performance in 2009-10.
Soccer Academy
Seniors Blake Gardner of Little Rock, Ark., and Camilla Berg of Denmark received Scholar Awards.
Senior Lomar Gordon of New York and freshman Allison Wetherington of Acworth, Ga., received Service Awards.
Senior Diego Figueroa of Pensacola, Fla., and sophomore Lauren Renaud of Saudi Arabia received Coaches' Awards.
Sophomore Dylan Faber of Anchorage, Alaska, and junior Madeline Duncan of Rome received Players' Choice Awards.
Sophomore Brody Gardner of Little Rock, Ark., and junior Tori Beall of Lynnville, Tenn., were named Most Improved.
Tennis Academy
Senior Brian Liu of Hong Kong received the Scholar Award and the Coaches' Award.
Junior Preston Cobb of Canton, Ga., and sophomore Wesley Kuo of Taiwan were named Most Improved.
Junior Katharina Reckendrees of Germany and freshman Garret Fricks of Rome received Spirit Awards.
