A note from the McKemie Family

The following note was sent to Headmaster David Rhodes by the family of Clay McKemie, and they asked that it be shared with the Darlington community.
Dearest Darlington Family,
Mac, Kyndall, John Robert and I send our most sincere appreciation for the love, care, and gracious support every single person has extended. We are simply overwhelmed with the kindness and the generosity the Darlington community has shown us all. Your continued prayers and words of love have kept us sustained and help us move forward daily!
Also, a word of thanks to every person who touched and enriched the lives of Clay and Kyndall. He had enjoyed all the attention the young freshman boy had been given by all the upperclassmen and [that] friends of Kyndall's had shed on him daily. Those "Blaylock Girls" truly made him feel special! Wow, what a treat, having a senior Big Sis!
Thanks to everyone from the teachers, faculty, friends of my children who touched their lives daily. Clay's favorite, probably the cafeteria friends; his favorite time of day - "lunch!"
Blessings to you all, our deepest gratitude to every single adult, student, and alum near and far who continue to uplift us all.
