We've had a great week in the arts at Darlington! On Thursday night, 29 of our combined students participated in a community concert with the children from the Montessori School of Rome and the Northwest Georgia Winds. It was a great opportunity for music to bring people together, which is so very important.
On Friday, our fourth-graders went to the High Museum to visit the Frida and Diego exhibit. Although I was not able to go, I was privy to several comments that support the great work that Jennifer Moore and Ashley Evans did to make this such a wonderful experience for our students.

What is also exciting is that these events took place on the heels of the Northwest Georgia Youth Orchestra and our winter musical, "Grease," which are also examples of the incredible work that goes on in our fine arts classrooms each and every day. A special thank you goes out to all our fine arts faculty who make these things happen!

To support this, I would like to share an article that simply reinforces the importance of the arts for all of us. Click here to read more.
