8 named to All-Region 7-AA team for football

Eight Tigers have been honored with spots on the Rome News-Tribune's All-Region 7-AA team in football for both offense and defense.

For offense: 

The following Darlington students were recognized: Running back Tijai Whatley ('18), wide receiver Jake Maxwell ('16), tight end Jake Walker ('16), and offensive lineman Burt Michael Tidwell ('16).

 

For defense: 

The following Darlington students were recognized: Linebacker Landon Lawrence ('16), outside linebacker Bob Ledbetter ('16), defensive back Jake Maxwell ('16), and defensive linemen Jake Walker ('16), Jacob Hunt ('18) and William Groover ('17).

Highlights from the season included a Region 7-AA championship title and the Tigers' first 10-0 regular streak since 1998.
