30 to 35 Colleges Expected at Darlington’s Mini-Fair Sept. 14

Darlington will host its sixth annual College Mini-Fair Tuesday, Sept. 14. Representatives from between 30 to 35 colleges from around the country will be present to meet with interested students. Juniors and seniors will be dismissed from classes from 10:30 a.m. to 12p.m. to visit with the admission officers. Freshmen and sophomores are invited to join them during break or free periods.
“This program has been such a great success with both the students and the college reps for the last few years that we are excited about doing it again,” said Sam Moss.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to do some window shopping at colleges they are not familiar with, as well as to learn more about colleges they are already interested in. It is also a great chance for our students to make a good impression of themselves and Darlington with the admission officers.”
In previous fairs, college representatives have been uniformly complimentary about the Darlington students they spoke with and the good impression they had of Darlington as a result of those conversations, according to Moss, who urges all students to take advantage of this opportunity in their college planning.
