11 named to First Team Region 6A North All-Region Team

Eleven members of the varsity football team have been named to the First Team Region 6A North All-Region Team, with junior Brooks Busby earning Defensive Player of the Year honors. Additionally, Darlington head coach Tommy Atha was named Coach of the Year.

Brooks Busby, a junior linebacker, is the son of Shari and Mark Busby of Rome. 

Trey Edge, a junior running back for the Tigers, is the son of Carrie and Phillip Edge of Rome.

Grigsby Gordy, a senior offensive lineman, is the son of Sudie and James Gordy of Rockmart, Ga.

Will Hawkins, a senior defensive lineman, is the son of Tracy and Kyle Hawkins of Rome.

Will Mathis, a senior defensive back, is the son of Sharon and Mike Mathis of Rome.

Wyatt Miller, a senior defensive lineman, is the son of Karen and Stephen Miller of White, Ga.

Grant Moss, a senior linebacker, is the son of Ann and Pat Moss of Rome.

Robert Muschamp, a junior tight end, is the son of Sally and Pat Muschamp of Rome.

Sloan Peters, a senior place kicker, is the son of Kim and Eugene Peters of Canton, Ga.

Landon Rice, a sophomore defensive lineman, is the son of Kelly and Joey Rice of Rome.

Logan Rice, a senior defensive back, is the son of Kelly and Joey Rice of Rome.

Senior offensive linemen Billy York and Will Hawkins as well as senior wide receiver Jeremiah McClure were named to Second Team All-Region.
