Fall for the Arts 2015 is just around the corner and we are very excited for the activities and events planned for this annual one school event, for Darlington and for our extended Community!

In collaboration with Alumni Weekend 2015, we are excited to offer these annual activities and treats, along with entertainment and all around FUN!

In the coming weeks, look for a schedule that will reflect the many activities that take place on Friday, Oct. 23, for ALL ages. The event will be held again on the Morris Chapel Lawn, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To help the Fine Arts Department get ready for Fall for the Arts, we would love to have your help! Please consider becoming involved with the event as a parent, teacher, student, alum or friend of Darlington.

Here are the top 10 ways to participate in Fall for the Arts!

  1. Buy a T-shirt to commemorate Fall for the Arts. Information will be available in the announcements Sept. 21 through Oct. 9.

  2. Volunteer your time and energy for leading an art activity during the morning or afternoon of the event.

  3. Volunteer for set-up on Friday morning at 7:30 a.m.

  4. Volunteer to work the Bake Sale or Cake Walk.

  5. Contribute a dozen baked goods to the Bake Sale.

  6. Contribute a cake to our 2nd Annual FFTA Cake Walk.

  7. Share your craft or hobby with us by contacting finearts@darlingtonschool.org

  8. NEW THIS YEAR: If you are an alum and have artwork you would like to put on exhibit in our gallery for the weekend, please contact ktunnell@darlingtonschool.org.

  9. Watch for updates for Fall for the Arts activities and events.

  10. Help us with event clean-up at 4 p.m.

We look forward to celebrating the arts with the Darlington Community at Fall for the Arts 2015! See you there!
