The Lower School hosted its annual National Geo Bee on Jan. 15, with 31 students participating from grades 3-6. Special thanks to faculty members Elaine Smith, Alice Clements, Flo Anthony, Rebekah Kinney, Charla Brewster and Sally Muschamp for their help and support; Patricia Ayer and her broadcast team on WDLS, who helped the teachers and students prepare for this competition with daily Geo Bee sample questions; and Ann Glass, Libbie Zimmer, Theresa Dulaney and Renee Hutchins, who delivered the questions and served as score and time keepers for each round. The first place winner was William Zimmer, second place went to Jack Eady, and runners-up were Rhett McDurmon and Will Crawford.
