Previous Background
Reba has been at Darlington since 1996, serving as an administrative assistant in the Admission Office until she was named a head of house in 2000. She currently serves as head of Summerbell House, the first-year boys’ residence hall. In 2007, she took on an additional role as director of the school’s Servant Leadership Program, coordinating fun community service opportunities with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and the Open Door Children’s Home. Before Darlington, she dabbled in many areas, including catering, healthcare and motivational speaking. Reba and her husband, Wendell, have judged local preliminaries for state pageants for several years. She also enjoys cooking, watching old movies, travel, gardening and spending time with her son, Trip (’02) and his wife, Jessica.

Darlington School will host a blood drive on Thursday, Oct. 6, in honor of Joan Jones, mother of Nicholas Jones (‘17). The Blood Assurance Blood Vessel will be located at the steps of the McCallie-Kennedy Upper School Library from 2 to 7 p.m. for those who wish to donate.

Darlington School will host a Blood Assurance blood drive on Thursday, March 3, in honor of Matt Gordon. The Model High School graduate was seriously injured in a car accident last November when his truck collided with a concrete drainage pipe.

Darlington will host a blood drive in Margaret Olivera's honor at the steps of the McCallie-Kennedy Upper School Library on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 2 to 7 p.m. The first-grade student was diagnosed last summer with Fanconi anemia, a rare genetic disorder that results in bone marrow failure.

Darlington School will host a blood drive on Thursday, March 5, in honor of Laura Hicks, Darlington’s ELA-8 Teaching and Learning Center director. The Blood Assurance Blood Vessel will be at the McCallie-Kennedy Library steps from 2 to 7 p.m. for anyone who would like to participate. Hicks was diagnosed with breast cancer last October following a planned bilateral mastectomy.
