Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andrew “Andy” G. Welborn, Sr. (’85, P ’15 ’20 ’22) and I have the privilege and honor of serving as The Darlington Fund chair, as well as the Advancement committee chair for your board of trustees. After the successes of last year with our first annual Giving Day and reaching our goal early we are excited for this year’s campaign to get going.
As a Darlington alum and parent, I am grateful for the teachers who made lasting impressions on myself, my children, and my classmates - they were characters who influenced us not only in education but as people. Teachers, students, and administrators alike are all blessed to call Darlington our school. We are ONE Darlington!
The Darlington Fund supports this ONE school and Darlington would not be the school it is today without gifts to The Darlington Fund. Darlington is about connections and these gifts to enable us to connect our entire community. This year’s goal of $1,100,000 will support every program on campus available to our students, teachers, parents, alumni, and all of the Darlington community.
A successful year starts with strong leadership and I am pleased to announce the 2021-2022 Darlington Fund Leadership Team. They range from young alumni to parents and grandparents and I, along with the Advancement Office, are excited to work with them this year.
