Our Meet the Alumni Council series allows the personalities of our alumni volunteers shine through. The Darlington Community is fortunate to have such a strong group of alumni willing to share their time and talents to better our school!

Jennie Wright ('99, LD '16) lives and works in Washington, DC as a Deputy General Counsel for the United State Senate Armed Service Committee.

Let’s get to know Jennie in today’s installment of our Meet the Alumni Council series:

Dunwoody, Ga.

How long have you served on the Alumni Council?

4 years

Tell us a little about your family:

Third generation alumnus.

What music is playing in your car?

To paraphrase George Awsumb, I am a gutter. I listen to all kinds - rap, rock, country, pop, oldies, etc. I can be listening to one type or all types on any given day.

Who was your favorite teacher at Darlington (and why)?

Kathy O'Mara because she's the best! She is funny, kind, caring, and helps students learn to love the creative process.

My favorite trip was...

To Israel.

If I could travel anywhere it would be....

Greece, Morocco, and Australia.

My favorite Darlington memory is...

Junior year skip day to Little River Canyon. Not sure if a memory involving breaking the rules is an appropriate answer, but it was a great day!

Beach or Mountains?

Mountains

E-book or Hardcover?

Depends

Cats or dogs?

Dogs

When I want to crush karaoke, my song is...

Nonexistent. Nobody wants to hear me sing.

What I like most about Darlington is...

The lifelong relationships I have because of the community Darlington creates.
