Student-athletes recognized at Spring Sports Awards Ceremony

Outstanding athletes in lacrosse, golf, baseball, tennis, soccer, and track were recognized at the Spring Sports Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 7 in Morris Chapel. 

In boys’ lacrosse: 
Junior Frank Manning of Rome, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award and Scholar Athlete Award. 
Senior Casey Zazzaro of Rome, Georgia received the Pillar Award.     

In girls’ lacrosse: 
Senior Kinsey Love of Cedartown, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award.     
Junior Carlie Chisolm of Summerville, Georgia received the Pillar Award.     
Junior Jalyn Massey of Cave Spring, Georgia received the Scholar Athlete Award.     

In boys’ golf: 
Junior Lindsey Cordell of Rome, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award.    
Junior Alec Patterson of South Bend, Indiana received the Pillar Award.     
Junior Carter Anderson of Rome, Georgia received the Scholar Athlete Award.     

In girls’ golf: 
Senior Nea Leppanen of Lahti, Finland received the Most Valuable Player Award and Scholar Athlete Award.     
Senior Hannah Willerson of Silver Creek, Georgia received the Pillar Award. 

In baseball: 
Senior Zuker Campbell of Cedartown, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award.     
Senior Adam Himes of Cedartown, Georgia received the Pillar Award and Scholar Athlete Award.     

In boys’ tennis: 
Junior Dawson Williams of Rome, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award and Scholar Athlete Award.     
Junior Gorden Gao of Shanghai, China received the Pillar Award.     

In girls’ tennis: 
Junior Grace Watters of Rome, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award and Scholar Athlete Award.     
Sophomore Katie Carlton of Rome, Georgia received the Pillar Award.     

In boys’ soccer: 
Sophomore Tim Sparmann of Brandenburg, Germany received the Most Valuable Player Award.     
Senior Omar Hamad of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia received the Pillar Award.     
Senior Jack Eady of Rome, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award and Scholar Athlete Award.     

In girls’ soccer: 
Senior Ashley Hankinson of Kingston, Georgia and sophomore Emma Good of Rome, Georgia received the Pillar Award
Junior Kacey Barnett of Cedartown, Georgia received the Scholar Athlete Award.     

In boys’ track: 
Senior Roth Wilcox of Rome, Georgia received the Most Valuable Player Award.     
Senior Tommy Atha of Rome, Georgia received the Pillar Award.     
Sophomore Jonathan Murphy of Fayetteville, North Carolina received the Scholar Athlete Award.     

In girls’ track: 
Senior Kacey Kemp of Nassau Bahamas and junior Ashanti Cobb of Black Mountain, North Carolina received the Most Valuable Player Award.     
Senior Annabelle Braden of Silver Creek, Georgia and junor Maggie Hawkins of Cedartown, Georgia received the Pillar Award.     
Junior Frances Fields of Kingston, Georgia received the Scholar Athlete Award.
