Campers will have a blast exploring the Upper School campus through a variety of outdoor activities like canoeing, fishing, archery, disc golf, field games, outdoor robotics and more! Athletic Director Eddie Guth, current Upper School students, and faculty members will serve as counselors and help lead activities.

Offered for four consecutive weeks, Camp Darlington will follow CDC guidelines for social distancing. Campers will be split into groups based on grade level and gender. Each group will be assisted by three counselors and will have separate drop-off points around the Huffman Athletic Center parking lot. When you drop off your child, please stay in the car as we try to maintain social distancing. Each camper will have a daily temperature check and be asked a series of questions regarding whether they have been exposed to COVID-19.

About the director
Eddie Guth has served as Darlington's athletic director since 2015. He holds a B.A. in Communications from Rhodes College and has over 30 years of experience in independent school education and athletics. Coach Guth is no stranger to Darlington, having taught and coached here from 1984 to 1994. During this time, he held numerous roles, including assistant athletic director, defensive coordinator for varsity football, head girls’ track coach (winning state championships in 1993 and 1994), strength and speed development coach, director of Camp Darlington, master of dormitories, chairman of the Discipline Committee, Middle School English and P.E. teacher, and Upper School public speaking teacher. Prior to his return to Darlington, Coach Guth was athletic director and head football coach at Randolph School in Huntsville, Ala. He is married to Virginia (Johnson) Guth (’79, LD '20), first-grade teaching assistant.
