Head of Thornwood House

Elizabeth (Collier) Bruce (’03) has served as head of Cooper House, Darlington’s first-year experience house for girls, since 2019. She holds a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University and has a decade of experience of working with children and college students, most recently as house parent for the College and Career Program for WinShape Homes. Elizabeth is married to Justin Bruce, Upper School learning specialist, and they have two daughters, Annie Ruth and Rosie.

Bruce to serve as Upper School learning specialist

Justin Bruce is excited to join the Darlington Community as the newly named Upper School learning specialist. With a B.S. in Collaborative Special Education from Auburn University, a Masters in Special Education Adaptive Curriculum from the University of West Georgia, and an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University, Bruce will provide learning strategies to students struggling with learning differences at Darlington School beginning this fall.
