Servant Leadership

At Darlington, we truly believe that our students’ experience here is not just about what happens to them through the twelfth grade. The training and lessons they receive during their years with us will have an impact not only on their character but on the choices they make in college and beyond. As a school, we care deeply about this character and these choices, so as a part of our Servant Leadership Program, students in grades 9-12 volunteer each week with a variety of different community organizations.

Every Upper School student is required to complete 15 hours of servant leadership each school year, and the best part is – they enjoy it! All of our service projects are student driven, and the senior class project is usually service related as well. Darlington students are making a difference in our community, and we are proud of them.

A few of the organizations that have benefited from Darlington’s Servant Leadership Program include:

  • American Red Cross
  • Blood Assurance
  • Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Georgia
  • Cancer Navigators
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • McHenry Primary
  • Pepperell Primarry
  • North Broad Community Brunch
  • New Beginnings Community Brunch
  • Open Door Children's Home
  • Rally for Research
  • Relay for Life
  • Rome Little Theater
  • Hospitality House
  • Salvation Army
  • Summit Quest
  • William S. Davies Shelter
  • Murphy Harpst Children's Home
