Darlington School’s science and math honor societies inducted new members during a ceremony held Tuesday, April 1, in Morris Chapel.
To be inducted into Gamma Chi Epsilon Science National Honor Society, seniors must be a member of the Georgia Junior Academy of Science; be in the top 20% of their graduating class; have successfully completed at least three science courses and be enrolled in a fourth; and be in good standing with Darlington School. Inductees included Arden Irene Babb, Bethany Grace Cagle, Zhou Fang, Grigsby James Gordy, Kereisha Earlene Harrell, Winston Chandler Herring, Kejian Huang, Chandler Elizabeth Johnson, John Kamron Malone, Callee Anne Cox Manna, Sarah Sheffield Manning, Alec Michael Medd, Hector Miguel Picon, Amita Gavva Reddy, Coulter Smith Schrum, Indra Putra Sofian, Tzu-Yu Tang, David Julius Thoms, Quyen Nguyen Hoang Tran, Yu Xing and Rostam Zafari.
To be inducted into Mu Alpha Theta Math National Honor Society, students must be currently enrolled in Pre-Calculus and have a minimum 94 average in all math courses taken. Only seniors may be inducted during their first year at Darlington. Inductees included Peyton Albertson, Arden Babb, Nicolas Burgess, Kinslee Clevenger, Michelle Cole, Jake Collier, Natalie Collins, Will Crawford, Hannah Mae Deems, Mario Dinatti, Spencer Fields, John Goldin, Kereisha Harrell, Sam Harton, Sarah Cait Hubbard, Katie Hutchins, Arturo King, Nadin Kosedag, Kristina Li, Wonseok Lim, Alec Medd, Sydney Otieno, Hope Roberson, Hannah Schriever, Coulter Schrum, Glen Sun, Jack Tunnell, Ziting Xia, Yu Xing, Dick Xu, Kevin Xu and Anqi Zhang.
