The First Annual Long Branch Lakes “Fish to Reel in the Cure,” which takes place Oct. 1-3 at Long Branch Lakes in Tennessee, will feature Darlington’s very own Jordan Muschamp (’13) as Honored Hero and famed fisherman Bill Dance as Master of Ceremonies. The three-day event, organized in part by the Cash Family, will include a fishing tournament to benefit the Leukemia/Lymphona Society.
“We have two fully stocked Bill Dance Signature Lakes up here, and we want to use this beautiful setting to benefit a great cause,” said Andy Cash (’87). “All the money raised from tournament fees and sponsorships will be donated to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.”
The event will kick off Friday evening with the opening ceremonies. Saturday will be the all-day fishing tournament. Registration for the tournament is $200 per two-person team. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament.
“We also encourage friends and family members to come up for the day on Saturday to cheer on their favorite fisherman and enjoy the fun activities we have planned for the weekend,” Cash said. “Even if you don’t want to fish, there will be plenty to do. Our Equestrian Center will be open for trail rides, hay rides and tours. There will also be opportunities to play tennis, baseball and go hiking. Long Branch Lakes is only about two hours from Rome and it’s a beautiful drive, so come on out and enjoy the fun! You won’t want to miss this exciting opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors while supporting a great cause.”
Guests are welcome to take part in any or all of the weekend activities. Please download the registration form and letter at top right of this page for more information on specific pricing options. (Note that the fishing tournament fee is included in the overall price for the three-day event.)
