Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Brian Davidson the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for April.
Davidson has attended Darlington School since pre-kindergarten. He has taken nine AP and Honors courses during his high school career, and is also a member of the Guitar Ensemble. This fall, he will attend the University of Georgia.
"On the surface, it may seem that Brian quietly goes about his business; there is no flash, only substance," said one of Davidson's teachers. "He seeks no attention, though willingly participates in discussion demonstrating thorough understanding of both material and a healthy learning environment. By that, I mean he advances the pace of the class and undertakes academic risks through statements and answers that classmates are willing to emulate. He is admired by his peers for his intellect, but trusted by them because of his understanding and non-assuming nature.”
The son of Cindy and Carl Davidson Rome, Brian was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on April 26.
