Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Hunter Brooks the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for February.
Brooks has attended Darlington since the second grade, and has taken eight AP and Honors courses during his Darlington career. He has been tapped as a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society, and has been recognized for his work in Spanish, American History and World History. He also serves Darlington as the president of the Honor Council, and is a member of the varsity basketball and golf teams. This fall, Brooks will attend Auburn University with an academic scholarship.
The son of Allison and Jeff Brooks of Lindale, Ga., Hunter was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on March 29.
