Darlington School has announced plans to expand its Pre-K through second-grade division over the next four years, responding to strong demand from local families and reflecting a long-term commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
Bryce Cooper has been named assistant director of Darlington School Soccer Academy, effective immediately. He brings more than 15 years of collegiate, academy, and elite club coaching experience to the role, along with a proven record of program building, player development, and leadership.
Seniors Sophie Piller and Myles Twyman will be recognized as Darlington's winners of the Rome Orthopaedic Student Athlete Scholarship during the annual Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony and banquet on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Forum River Center.
Darlington's varsity baseball team will play Adairsville in the inaugural Three Rivers Classic on Feb. 21 at 11:30 a.m. at AdventHealth Stadium. This event, which features matchups between some of NWGA's top baseball programs, will be hosted by the Rome Emperors in partnership with Rome High School.

The haunting melodies of hope and the heavy rhythm of industry take center stage as Darlington presents the Tony Award-winning musical "Hadestown." Written by Anaïs Mitchell, this acclaimed reimagining of ancient Greek mythology will come to life Feb. 20-22 downtown at Rome City Auditorium.
Students in grades 6-12 are recognized based on their grade average for the semester, as follows: Headmaster's List, 95 or higher average with no grade below 90; Director’s List, 90 or higher average with no grade below 85. Grades for Upper School students in Honors or Advanced Placement courses are weighted five points for Honor Roll computation purposes.
The College Board announced that Darlington School has been named to the Advanced Placement Program (AP) School Honor Roll, earning Platinum distinction.
Six members of the varsity football team were named to the Rome News-Tribune's 2025 All-Floyd County football teams and one received an honorable mention.
