Our Apple "Opinions" are Delicious!

Second-graders taste-tested three types of apples, red, green and yellow. Afterwards, students formed an opinion about which apple was their favorite and why. Students then used descriptive words about the apples to form a written opinion.

The Jordan Jewels reviewed nouns today with a little football fun. Students had to identify and sort football related words into the appropriate categories of nouns.

Today, third-grade students wear gold ribbons to honor and remember children and families affected by cancer, and to support and spread awareness of the fight against rare diseases in children and teens.

This Tuesday Hope Jones, director of ELA-8, invited me to come and participate in the TIGERTalk that she was holding for parents of students in the Joanne G. Yancey Library in Thatcher Hall. Coffee was provided and therefore I was successfully lured in for what would soon become much more than a simple presentation.
