iPeriod Spotlight: Bandages for Ghana

Dr. Shumpert and her husband, Dr. Paul Shumpert, are the president and vice president of The George Faile Foundation, Inc. which has a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people of Northern Ghana. They support Baptist Medical Centre in providing spiritual and health care to those in need in an impoverished area of the world.

Members of the Random Acts of Kindness iPeriod rolled up 3 inch strips of material, cut from bed sheets to create bandages that Cindy and Paul will take with them to Ghana when they visit during Christmas.

I decided to be a part of this iPeriod because I like to help others, and we have definitely been able to do so through our random acts of kindness. I enjoyed this project because I know we are assisting others outside of Rome.
