We are excited to highlight young alumni who embody the Darlington mission and motto through our Darlington Connects blog series. Today, we feature Zenith Han (’19), a Cornell University graduate who works in finance and business operations at Tesla in California. From her arrival at Darlington as an international boarding student to her career supporting cutting-edge innovation, Zenith’s journey reflects the confidence, curiosity and sense of community developed during her time on campus. We hope you enjoy getting to know these young alumni who have chosen to “learn with passion, act with integrity, and serve with respect.”
Kick off the school year at our favorite back-to-school fundraiser, the Purple Tie Tiger Tailgate on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the Huffman Athletic Center.
I was in the middle of my 18th year at Darlington when the opportunity to complete the Foundations of Care and Practice course offered by The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) was presented to me this year. Now that my role is stretching to include more of the residential life component, it seemed like a perfect time to tap into what leaders at boarding schools around the country are thinking about, trends that they are seeing, and ways in which they are taking steps to be on the forefront of those trends in education.
Throughout the year, we've shared how The Darlington Fund supports every student, teacher and program by the Lakeside. This year, 1,186 donors collectively contributed $1,309,994.50 to the 2025-2026 Darlington Fund, helping us surpass our goal of $1.3 million.
Through the special Darlington Connects blog series, we are proud to showcase the stories, connections, and lasting impact of a community that continues to embody Darlington’s mission and values long after graduation. Today, we hear from O'Keefe Johnson-Raynor ('13).
