James has been a part of student life at Darlington since 2001, serving previously as Head of Cooper House, director of the First-Year Experience program, and director of student life before being named associate headmaster and director of admission. He holds a B.B.A. from Shorter College and his M.B.A. from Berry College. James enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Angie, live on campus with their children, Clayburn (’18), Kennan (’20) and James David (’23).

Darla has worked in Darlington’s Admission Office since 1997. Before Darlington, she spent 13 years with the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism and two years managing a Christian music group called First Impression. She and her husband, Tommy, are the parents of three Darlington alumni, Hannah (’03), Megan (’05) and Tyson (’08).

DeLean has served as an admission officer for Darlington since 2009. In this role, she focuses specifically on marketing and managing the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program within our school community and across the state. DeLean holds a Master of Taxation from the University of Georgia and has worked previously as a tax consultant in both Atlanta and Greensboro, S.C. She and her husband, Jody, are the parents of current students Ivy (’16) and Emily (’19).

Lea has worked in Darlington’s Admission Office since 1989. She is a licensed medical technologist with a B.S. from Lenoir Rhyne College, and has worked at hospital laboratories in North Carolina and Georgia. Lea enjoys writing children’s stories, watching old movies and attending sporting events with her family. She and her husband, John, are the parents of two Darlington alumni, Bailey (’98) and Griffin (’03).

Brad (’05) has worked in Darlington’s Admission Office since 2011. He holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from Kennesaw State University and gained previous admission experience at several institutions around the country. Before Darlington, he was domestic admission director and marketing communications director at Squaw Valley Academy (Calif.) He also worked at Oak Hill Academy (Va.) and Brown Mackie College in Atlanta. As a student at Darlington, Brad played baseball, was on the swim team and captained the dive team. He was also an active student leader, serving as an admission liaison, head prefect, and member of both the Honor Council and the House Senate. He lives on campus in the McCain House.

Chad has worked in Darlington admissions and athletics since August 2004. He is a member of the U.S. Soccer National Instructor Staff, NSCAA Associate Staff Coach, Region III ODP Staff, and was recently appointed as an Id2 national scout for U.S. Club Soccer. He holds a USSF “A” license and is a member of many other professional soccer organizations. Chad holds a B.S. from Berry College and a M.S.M. from the University of Georgia. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, hiking and rafting with his children, and simply enjoying the outdoors. He and his wife, Darcy, a Middle School P.E. teacher at Darlington, have two sons, Landon (’21) and Alex (’20).

Leanne was named director of operations for Coosa International Tennis Academy and director of summer programs in 2009. Prior to that, she had been a member of Darlington’s English faculty since 2004 and coached several sports, including varsity tennis. Leanne holds a B.A. from Campbell University and has over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience. After a successful college career in track and field, she became a 16-time North Carolina State cycling champion, ranking among the United States’ top eight cyclists from 1988-92.

Kila has over 15 years of admissions experience and currently serves as director of boarding admission and director of international student programs. Prior to coming to Darlington in 2005, she worked in admission at St. Lawrence College and as a personal counselor at Fulford Academy, an English language preparatory boarding school in Brockville, Ontario. Kila holds a B.A. from St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario, and a B.S. from Shorter College in Rome. She enjoys international travel, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. She and her husband, Tim, have two sons, Mack (’10) and Marshall (’15).

Donna has worked in Darlington’s Admission Office since 2000. Previously, she spent 24 years in customer service. She holds an associate’s degree from Coosa Valley Technical College, where she was recipient of the STAR Award. Donna and her husband, John, are the parents of two Darlington alumni, Sean (’01) and Jennifer (’08). They are also avid softball fans and animal lovers.
