A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.

Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.

Let’s get to know Anthony Natarella, a four-year day student from Rome who plans to study chemical engineering in college.

When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Growth, community, humor

What's your favorite show to binge watch?
Not a show but “Kung Fu Panda 1, 2 and 3”

What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Waffle House

What house are you a member of?
Summerbell

What are you involved in at Darlington?
Track and field, cross country, Model United Nations (club president), Tiger Tutors (leader), Summerbell House (day leader)

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Hunt - he pushes you when you need to be pushed and congratulates you when you've done well. Coach Hunt also has the best and driest sense of humor!

What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The track: I love going out to run every day and the team has such a fun culture. It’s a place of tons of great memories, some pain, and a fun four years.

Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Cox: The ideas taught in his class go above the academics you learn in his class. He also taught me that you are never bad at anything, you just haven't tried yet. Ms. Rundles: Her AP Chemistry class was the inspiration for why I am studying chemical engineering in college. She pushed the class (sometimes to our limits), but also created a strong class culture. She made us brownies and cookies for after our tests!

What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The never-ending hallway of open doors to new opportunities.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Walking from English class to History and hearing at least five languages along the way, traveling all over the country for Model UN, RUMPUS.

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
When I first gave speeches as a freshman and sophomore for leadership positions, I was a nervous wreck. My hands would shake and I would be filled with anxiety. This year, I gave a senior speech with steady hands!

What is your dream job?
Working for clean energy production internationally.
