A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.

Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.

In this #SeniorSpotlight get to know Nadirah Atolagbe, a two-year boarding student from Atlanta who’s a dorm leader and three-sport athlete.

What house are you a member of?

Regester House

What are you involved in at Darlington?

Varsity cross country, varsity soccer, varsity track, Darlington Diamonds, Impact Club, French Club, Regester House leader, Discipline Committee member

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?

Mr. Shorey because he is a very kind and supportive man. He is also my AP Calculus teacher.

What's your favorite place on campus and why?

The Growl because it’s a student area that allows us to not think about actual schoolwork for a bit.

Who are your favorite teachers?

Mrs. Owens, Mr. Shorey, Mr. Hudson, Ms. Sikes

What's your favorite thing about Darlington?

The people.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.

My first RUMPUS. It was the best weekend ever. I got to interact with students from the entire school and bond with my dorm friends more. (RUMPUS is an annual, weekend-long competition between the dorms.)

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?

I have better time management.

Where do you want to go to college and what is your dream job?

I want to go to college at John Hopkins University and become a reconstructive plastic surgeon.
