Thank you to Allison and Scott Daniel for making their first gift to The Darlington Fund this year during Parents for Purple!
Allison was born and raised in Dallas, Ga. She received a B.S. in Education and married Scott who is from Marietta. After their marriage, Allison decided to help Scott run their family business. He has been in the construction industry most of his life and together they own Elite Roofing of Georgia, which is located in Dallas, and are HomeVestors franchise owners. They currently live in Dallas and consider the 45 minute drive a small sacrifice for the wonderful education their seventh grade son Braxton is receiving, but they hope to move to Rome soon!
“Braxton was diagnosed with Dyslexia in fourth grade and even though we were happy with his school, it wasn’t meeting his specific needs," they said. "We prayed for a school that would challenge him but also provide the support he needed. When we toured Darlington, I cried leaving the parking lot. It just felt like home. Darlington has been the biggest blessing we could have received. We chose to give to The Darlington Fund and specifically to the Learning Center because we feel passionate about what this school is doing in the lives of these children every day. The change we have seen in our son over the past few months has been remarkable. Thank you Darlington family, we are so proud to be here.”
