Collin Cadwell has been hired as director of operations for Darlington's Tennis Academy. With nearly two decades of working with youth and community tennis programs, Cadwell brings a diversified background in the sport.

“Collin's extensive tennis experience and our new partnership with the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College will greatly enhance our Tennis Academy and benefit our players,” said Beth Pollard, assistant head of school for business and operations.

Cadwell holds a B.S. in Marketing with a focus on Professional Tennis Management from Ferris State University. For the past 11 years, he served as administrative assistant for Ferris State University's Professional Tennis Management program, where he was responsible for oversight of program, coordination of special events, student recruitment and retention, academic advising, and more.

“My passion for tennis started around age 12 at a local city park playing doubles with my father against the neighbors,” recalled Cadwell. “It was an instant connection to the sport and all the tremendous opportunities that are available through tennis and athletics.”

Cadwell is truly excited about his new role with the Tennis Academy and helping the program grow.

“Darlington is a great fit for me because it provides an ideal environment for developing lifelong learners and opportunities through the great sport of tennis,” he said. “I am looking forward to getting to know the students and providing them with an experience that enhances their time at Darlington through the game of tennis.

“Tennis is truly a lifelong sport and gives students the opportunity to grow through competition, learn from challenges, and pursue their goals and dreams both here at Darlington and far beyond their time here,” he continued. “I look forward to seeing the Academy grow, and through the Academy I hope we can work hard to develop complete tennis players that have the necessary skills to compete at the college level and beyond.”

In his spare time, Cadwell enjoys connecting with friends and family by spending time outdoors either hiking or kayaking. He also appreciates any opportunity to read a great book or continue to learn through reading.
