We have played the fortune telling game MASH, created our own paper fortune tellers and we practiced the texting of the 80s, also known as writing and folding notes. Watching music videos was a favorite pastime during this decade, so we have viewed some of our favorites by popular artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson, A-Ha, George Michael, Foreigner, Bon Jovi and more. There are so many popular and revolutionary 80s movies, and so far we have watched "E.T." and "Back to the Future." Playing games was another way we passed the time, so we have been playing Trouble, Operation, Kerplunk, Lite Brite and other fun games of the decade.
Four days a week, Upper School students spend 50 minutes in iPeriod, exploring topics that spark their curiosity while planning and executing large-scale collaborative projects that bring the power of learning to life. Students are enrolled in two iPeriods at a time, spending two days per week in one and two days in the other. Then at the end of seven weeks, they have the opportunity to choose two more.
